Who We Are
Pooja, a design aficionado with a dual Masters in International Design and Aesthetics, brings her experience to the world of interiors. With over two decades of working as a coffee table book publisher at prestigious organizations such as India Book House, Frankfurt Book Fair, and subsequently founding The Ink Pot, she seamlessly transitioned her creative background into the realm of interior design.
Driven by her curiosity to discover, procure, and arrange art and unique objects that tell a story, Pooja approaches interior styling much like she did with her books. Her Peter Panesque imagination enables her to transform the forgotten corners of a home into moody moments worthy of attention.
In her own home, Pooja has curated an enchanting collection where a Naga doll engages in quiet discourse with a yellow Gieve Patel, while a vintage Rudra looks on. A brass triad dances before a Praneet Soi triptych, and a G.Iranna tree caresses a leafy Ficus. A Bhuta boar glistens menacingly in the sunlight while a red Nandi grazes on the lush pastures of a Jaipur Rug. The many limbs of Goddess Lakshmi reach out to touch the mythical-politico faces of a Jogen Chaudhary collage. Yet, in another nook, bitty vendors jostle one another vying for the viewer's attention with their distinct golden wares, while an Escherian staircase beckons from the other end.
Pooja has had the privilege of working closely with acclaimed creative contributors, including Antonio Martinelli, George Mitchell, Padmini Mirchandani, Thames & Hudson, Sunhil Sippy, Rahul Mehrotra, Shardha Dwivedi, Bachi Karkaria, Bharat Ramamrutham, Krsna Mehta, Jerry Pinto, Divya Thakur, Ritesh Uttamchandani, and Sameer Kulavoor. Together, they have created over 50 spellbinding titles. The Lucky Diary, a project she solely conceptualized went on to win a gold at the National Excellence in Print Awards and her magnum opus, a hand-illustrated Bhagwad Gita, was also well-received internationally.
Recognized for her exceptional talent, she has been sought after by a wide range of high-profile clients, including Priti Devi (the great-granddaughter of HH Maharaja Jagatjit Singh of Kapurthala), Tarun Kataria (HSBC), Suman Agarwal, Jandira Jill Pachedo (Consul General Brazil), Sushil Jiwarajka (Artheon Group of Companies), Jaideep Arora (Sharekhan BNP Paribas), Essaji Vahanvati (Ramanathan & Vahanvati), Siddharth Daftary (Bharat Serum), S.K Jindal (Jindal group of companies), Siddharth Deoras (Unilever), ISKON, Sula Vineyards, AZB & Partners, and many more.
Driven by a desire to impart her signature aesthetic, Pooja founded HUNT to offer services in interior sourcing, art consultancy, interior styling and product design. When she isn’t working you can find her browsing through the bowels of a dusty antique cellar or lost in the lanes of Diagon alley.
