An empty room is a story waiting to happen, and you are the author.

Pooja Shah Dalal, Founder

Pooja’s world is a celebration of tall tales, relics of the past, Indian mythology, contemporary art and exceptional craftsmanship. A design enthusiast with a dual Masters in International Design & Visual Communication (University of Warwick) and Indian Aesthetics (Jnanapravaha), she has had a distinguished career spanning over two decades as a coffee table book publisher at esteemed organizations such as India Book House and Thames and Hudson prior to starting her own publishing consultancy, The Ink Pot.

She has had the privilege of collaborating closely with renowned creative contributors, including Antonio Martinelli, George Mitchell, Padmini Mirchandani, Sunhil Sippy, Rahul Mehrotra, Shardha Dwivedi, Bachi Karkaria, Bharat Ramamrutham, Krsna Mehta, Jerry Pinto, Divya Thakur, Ritesh Uttamchandani, and Sameer Kulavoor. Together, they've produced over 50 spellbinding titles spanning across art, design, history, mythology, architecture, jewelry and photography. Noteworthy projects like "The Lucky Diary," a concept she solely envisioned, earned a gold at the National Excellence in Print Design Awards. And her magnum opus, a hand-illustrated Bhagwad Gita, received international acclaim. She has also penned a mystery novel.

The empty rooms of a home are akin to the blank pages of a book, waiting to be filled with unique fables and in the fall of 2023, the storyteller within her naturally progressed to the realm of interior design. While foraging for #fascinatingfinds for her own home, Hunt was incubated. Buying a roomful of stuff from popular home stores seemed bland and impersonal so she hunted down pieces or created them.

Recognized for her exceptional creative talent, Pooja has been sought after by a wide range of high-profile clients, including Priti Devi (the great-granddaughter of HH Maharaja Jagatjit Singh of Kapurthala), Tarun Kataria (HSBC), Suman Agarwal (Selfcare), Jandira Jill Pacheco (Consul General Brazil), Sushil Jiwarajka (Artheon Group of Companies), Jaideep Arora (Sharekhan BNP Paribas), Essaji Vahanvati (Ramanathan & Vahanvati), Siddharth Daftary (Bharat Serum), S.K Jindal (Jindal group of companies), Siddharth Deoras (Hindustan Unilever), ISKON, Sula Vineyards, AZB & Partners, Shalini Goenka (Texport), Ami & Abhishek Zaveri (Sadhana Nitrochem International Limited), Kunal Dalal (JBCN Education), Ajay Vaghani (Milton Plastics) and many more.

In a short span of time, she has also collaborated with acclaimed architects such as Simone Pundole Dubhash, Jason Wadhwani, Annkur Khosla, Sohni Tanna and Nitin Killawala.

When Pooja isn’t working you can find her browsing through the bowels of a dusty antique cellar or lost in the lanes of Diagon alley.
